We train our drivers not only in different classes of HGV work but also the major certifications such as Tideway and FORS as well as forklift driving and crane operation with ALLMI, the specialist lorry loading organisation.

You may want to learn to drive commercially or already be qualified. Salary depends on skills and experience, qualified drivers earning £10- £15 per hour with bonuses and overtime on top.

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who wants to do a great job working with great colleagues, delivering goods with a smile. General duties at our Coventry hub if not out on a driving job. If you feel happy when you know a job has been done well then we want to hear from you! Driving work across the UK, lots of variety. May stay local or go further afield depending on the jobs booked.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend work and overnights required occasionally
  • 05:00 – 07:00 starts (on average)
  • 8-11 Hour shifts (on average)

Job Duties

  • Responsible for loading, securing and unloading customers goods
  • Responsible for transporting goods nationwide
  • Represent the company speaking to customers face to face
  • To ensure the company’s high standard of customer service and satisfaction is maintained at all times
  • Build and maintain good rapport with customers and other staff and to represent the company when on customer’s premises or travelling to and from those premises
  • Must have a reasonable level of fitness
  • Must keep vehicle clean and tidy at all times
  • Must be reliable and have a flexible ‘can do’ attitude
  • Must be customer focused
  • Be prepared to travel when necessary for training, travel costs provided
  • Applicants must be above 20 years of age for insurance purposes
  • Overnights and weekends when required, occasional
  • Operating crane HIAB (desirable)
  • Opportunity to become FORS qualified (transport quality standard)
  • Opportunity to gain ADR licence
  • Opportunity to train as a crane operator if no crane operation qualification
  • In-date & valid HIAB Licence desirable
  • Must have valid in-date CPC and Digi cards
  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Must be looking for a long-term permanent position
